Looking back on the past year, I’m so thankful I was able to spend so much time at home with Parker (and Brady) this time around. The hardest part about going from one to two is splitting the attention, but I’d like to think I did an okay job at it. I think being home with them for seven months really helped with the whole transition. It’s a moment in time I will never forget. I didn’t even open my makeup drawer for months and the only clothes I paid attention to were my Lululemon tights and oversized Free People tops (perfect for nursing, let me tell you). It was heaven. 

At one year old, Parker is walking with support and has taken a few steps, but she hasn’t totally mastered the one-foot-in-front-of-the-other thing yet. She is, however, talking every second of the day. Her first word was mama, but she can also say dada, daddy, bubba, see, that, nana, papa, yes, no etc. She loves animals and always points them out wherever we are. She adores her brother and always wants to be right next to him. I can’t wait for the day that they can actually play together. Oh, I could go on and on but I supposed I should take that conversation to Parker’s memory book.
