Some people collect coffee cups, some people collect books or magazines; I just so happen to collect sequin jackets. My collection has been steadily growing over the last 10 years and I have no plans to stop. I’m always on the lookout for them wherever I go. I will be that 95-year-old grandma rocking sequins on my scooter as I drive around the nursing home singing “to the window… to the wall!”
I thought I would start styling some of my sequin jackets here on the blog so I could show you the endless ways you can wear them. They make outfits so much fun and honestly I think they can be toned down too. It all depends on the size of sequin and the way they are sewn on. This jacket was probably one of my best finds in college (by Karen Kane) but I’m pretty sure I chose it over groceries for a week or two back then. WORTH IT. I wear this one all the time as it’s one of my more demure jackets. (Sounds funny to say that about sequins.)
Fun fact: My absolute favorite sequin jacket was found at a thrift shop that was going out of business in Oklahoma City for $1. I literally screamed when I saw it and I couldn’t check out fast enough!
