Valentine’s Day with Basic Invite

Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m excited to share a fun Valentine’s card we created this year with Basic Invite. We never sent a Christmas card out last year and I knew I still wanted to do something, so I thought this would be just the thing! A friend of mine stopped sending Christmas cards after she had kids and does Valentine’s cards instead. I’ve always loved that idea because this holiday is really all about celebrating the people you love. What better way to do that than by a colorful, unexpected surprise in their mailbox?!

I’m very picky when it comes to creating holiday cards and invites. Perhaps it’s because I was raised by a family of designers who can navigate their way through illustrator with their eyes closed (yet I can’t do a thing in it). Anytime we created a card or invite together in the past, I was always able to make it look exactly like I wanted. Move this here. Change the hue of that color there. They’ve always been 100% Jen. Nowaways I try to do my own thing instead of bogging down my family to create cards with me, which I think they appreciate.
So a big reason why I never followed through with our Christmas card was because I couldn’t quite decide on a design. To be honest, I had three cards on two different websites that our photos were already uploaded to, but I just kept going back and forth. I couldn’t make a decision. There were two or three things that I’d want to tweak on each design, but couldn’t.
What I love about Basic Invite is that you really do have the option to change just about everything! Once you select a design, you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can really make sure the card is exactly how you want it – down to the littlest detail. They also have over 40 different colors of envelopes so you can make your card stand out before it’s even opened. I can’t tell you another website that offers that.
Go check them out next time you’re in the market for a modern invitation, announcements, or birthday invitation cards online! You can also use 15FF51 for 15% off your purchase.
Hope you guys have a day full of love, wine and chocolates!
