Party of Five

We’ve got some big news! Three months ago we were toasting at midnight to an exciting year ahead not knowing it was going to involve another sweet baby! To say we were surprised would be an understatement, but we feel incredibly blessed to be chosen to bring another beautiful life into this world. We waited to tell the kids until we took these photos and the one above was from the exact moment we told them we were pregnant. I will cherish it – and all of these photos – forever!

We took these photos in three different locations in and around the Wichita Mountains. We started in the parallel forest then moved to some wide open fields in the valley and ended on top of Mount Scott, which was beautiful in and of itself. The kids were amazed by it all and frankly, so was I.

I’m so glad we were able to document this exciting time and I’m so thankful that my sweet friend Amber was down to go on a road trip with us to take these photos.

I’ve always wanted three kids since I was young, so it’s a little surreal for me to actually see it come true. It’s funny the reactions we’ve received since sharing our big news. Some people are super excited and others ask what in the world we were thinking. Three kids may be overwhelming for some, but we’re ready for the wild ride. Family is everything and I’m so excited that our kids are going to have each other growing up. There will never be a dull moment, especially during holidays, for the rest of our lives. I may need a lot of wine to get through it, but I’m so excited for it all.

Thank you to so many of you for checking in on me while I was away from my blog and social media for a while (during my first trimester). Morning sickness aka all-day sickness is no joke! It was hard to take a break after I was just beginning to ramp up, but it was exactly what I needed. And thank you for all of your sweet comments and congratulations when we shared our news on social media. I’m always taken aback by how kind and supportive you all are of this little blog and my social channels. It means the world to me. I’m excited to share this journey with you!

  1. Awwww… I just LOVE this photo shoot! You chose the cutest colors for outfits, and the scenery couldn't be more perfect. Your baby bump…too too cute. Cherish these moments and years – it's so cliché but true that the years go by fast. My tween/teens were just little dots yesterday (in my head.) 😉
