Off-the-Shoulder Formal Dress

Finding a formal dress when you’re well into your second trimester could be a little stressful. Do you buy maternity and wear it maybe one other time the rest of your life or find something that’s not maternity, yet accommodating for the bump, and be able to wear it after pregnancy? In my previous two pregnancies, I’ve opted for non-maternity pieces that contained a small percentage of spandex or polyester and they’ve worked perfectly. My opinion is, if it’s a fancy occasion and I’m going to shell out some money, I want to be able to wear it and feel good in it, whether I’m pregnant or not.
This dress is just that for me. Totally non-maternity, totally gorgeous and totally comfortable with my bump. I really felt like a real life salsa dancing emoji while wearing it. I think it would last me well into my third trimester too. The material is beautiful and so forgiving. This brand is my favorite when it comes to elevated pieces for fun or fancy occasions. In fact, I styled a hot pink jumpsuit from this brand in this blog post a few months ago. We actually took the photos in that post three days after we found out we were pregnant. Ha!
