Reducing Single-Use Plastics with Brita

As a family, we’re doing our part to reduce single-use plastics. My kids are the future and I want them to experience a happy, healthy planet. The only way that’s possible is if we all make small changes. Because at the rate we’re going, we’ll have more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050. Isn’t that a scary thought? The good news is, with the Stainless Steel Brita Filtering Bottle, I can replace 1,800 plastic water bottles a year! Imagine if 50 people committed to using this water bottle–we’d save 900,000 of them! Further proof that baby steps count.

What I love so much about this bottle is its versatility. We’re always on the go, and it never fails that someone in our little crew gets thirsty. No matter where we’re at, be it a park or the middle of a grocery store, when we have our Brita Filtering Bottle with us, we can easily fill it up at a nearby water fountain. It has a built-in filter in the straw that literally filters the water as you drink it! Now whenever we’re away from home, I know that we’ll always have great-tasting filtered water and will no longer accrue those seemingly innocent, one-off plastic water bottles.

A few other bonuses: The stainless steel design features double wall insulation that keeps water cold for up to 24 hours. They’re also cup holder friendly and come with a replaceable filter that reduces chlorine taste and odor. And finally, they come in several different colors! It was hard for me to choose because I loved them all so much, but ultimately decided on the rose color
